Candy Lei
I finally figured out what to do with all the left over Halloween candy that we still have. None of us eat THAT much candy and I didn't want it to go to waste. Well, this weekend is the last game of my daughter's soccer season... my husband is the coach and we are having an end-of-season party. I thought it would be fun to give out candy leis tied with ribbons in our team's colors along with the awards. The perfect solution and so easy! Here's what you need:I don't even think we need too many words for this one... follow the photos and they speak for themselves. You will need 3 lengths of ribbon in each color for a total of nine.Lay out nine pieces of candy with about an inch to an inch and a half gap in between. Overlap the ends and tie tightly to finish the lei. The ribbons weren't tied in bows so the boys wouldn't think they were too girly. I cannot wait to give them away this weekend... I just hope it doesn't rain!

What a great idea! We saved Soraya's Halloween candy to put in her pinata for her birthday party! I hate to see all of that yummy candy go to waste, too. But, I really can't stand eating it all either!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea, too. Lucky her b-day is so close!
